Besides an eagerness to dive in with our team, the requirements for this position are:

• B.S. or higher degree in Computer Science or related field (M.S. strongly preferred) with a demonstrated record of academic achievement.
• Expert knowledge of object-oriented methodologies and approaches.
• 3+ years of professional experience coding enterprise-class, multi-tier systems in Java.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail. This position will include extensive interaction with clients.
• Meaningful prior experience over a year or longer with Salesforce's force.com platform. We will only consider candidates who have previous hands-on experience building a complex enterprise application around the force.com framework.

Qualifications:

Candidate must have an advanced degree in CS or a related area or have a comparable amount of industry experience. This is not your typical financial programming job: The Summer Intern will join a group of passionate technologists in a dynamic and collaborative environment entirely unlike the sprawling, faceless, and risk-adverse IT departments found in most of the industry. He/she will work alongside senior developers on our breakthrough trading products, and be handed real-world responsibilities from Day One.

This is a small place: As an intern, you will get exposure to the entire software development cycle, from architecture to marketing. The level of responsibility and the complexity of the work will be up to you-there are few limits here. We see these internships as a way to get to know the next generation of leading software minds and for the brightest among them to get real-time software development experience in the financial world. We fully expect successful interns to be offered permanent positions upon graduation.

Required Education:
Candidate for MS of Ph.D. in computer science or related field. No undergraduates, please.

Technical skills:
Expertise in C# and/or Java, solid grasp of object-oriented design and implementation, familiarity with relational databases, distributed systems, SQL server, UNIX-based systems, ASP.NET.
